Moffett Engineering
In November 2001 Bufab Benelux first visited Moffett Engineering to discuss possibilities of a partnership between the two companies. Moffett Engineering was working with a 2-bin line feeding system and purchased the required parts from various local suppliers. Due to the variety of parts, number of suppliers and lack of structure,  product ordering was chaotic, and the bins were regularly filled with mixed product. Bufab was asked to help organise the supply chain, and reduce the number of suppliers. Bufab started delivering 100 items, and is now supplying over 700 different parts to Moffett Engineering, form standard nuts and bolts to special parts such as hinges, rubber parts, clamps etc. The supplier base at Moffett has been reduced with over 20 suppliers, resulting in more effective purchasing and cost savings. At the end of 2007 a new contract was signed between Moffett and Bufab confirming their cooperation for another 4 years. Now, in 2011, a new contract is signed between the Cargotec Group, which includes Moffett, for another four year cooperation.
